I once played an audition with a sprained wrist. I debuted at the Kennedy Center shortly after the death of my grandmother. As an artist, one is forever possessed by the idea that The Show Must Go On – but it is equally important to be able to adapt to the changing circumstances around us.
Like everyone, I have been monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus with growing concern. Many of you have personally contacted me to express that, while you have been looking forward to a particular performance on the Going Off Script album tour, you feel frightened to attend because of the virus.
With these thoughts in mind, I have decided to suspend my current touring schedule. This most immediately affects my upcoming LIVE performances in San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. All tickets will be refunded, and these performances will be rescheduled for a time when all audience members can feel comfortable and confident about attending the concert and truly enjoy the music.
In the meantime, the show WILL go on – if in a slightly different format! Until such time as the current crisis subsides, I hope you’ll join me for a series of FREE digital performances that I will be live-streaming from my Facebook page, Juliana Soltis, Cellist! Details on the first of these performances are available on my Schedule page.
Be well, everyone, and remember that better times lie ahead! 💕
